Lethbridge At Home Portfolio

Why make a portfolio book of a book?

I had such a great time coming up with the various max-gaudy patterns for the interiors of the houses and fabric of the garments of Lethbridge: Imaginary Friend, so the portfolio was a tongue-in-cheek chance to take this one step further. I created Lethbridge At Home as a lookbook style collection of the surface pattern designs, which includes two variations of the colour palette, a deep dive into the characters including the protagonists Lethbridge and the purple-haired girl and their projected trajectories, mockups of the fabrics with real furnishings, assets of the characters wearing different fabrics and even custom typefaces: a font and an alpha-set* based on the handwriting on the business card in the cover illustration of Lethbridge: Imaginary Friend.

  • What is the difference between a typeface and an alpha-set? A typeface is a digital file normally with a .ttf or other font suffix – LETHBRIDGEBIZZ.ttf – which is installed and used to type out a particular word in the style of the font to create uniform text. An alpha-set – LETHBRIDGEFriend – is a collection of scaleable vector files (.svg files) which can be placed together and resized (they are scaleable) without becoming pixelated (because they are vectors) and used to create unique text headings (usually) as images or within images.

Where to buy: Lethbridge: Imaginary Friend, and Lethbridge At Home.

Design available as: alpha-set, character, imaginary friend, Lethbridge, lethbridgebizz, lethbridgeFriend, lookbook, palette, portfolio, typeface in the categories of: book, Lethbridge
